Summer is all about balancing being productive and taking on new projects with getting outside, exploring and relaxing. This past weekend I had a bit of both: a visit to Oregon’s Oneonta Falls, which involved wading through waste-deep water to get to the spectacular view (pictured above), trying out Kristina’s delicious popsicle recipes and planting new herbs in my indoor garden pots.
If you’re looking for a summer project you can do with the kids, try making your own soap! Everything you need to get started is in our handy little guide. Send us your finished product and you could be featured in the Grow and Make blog.
We are also loving this Ted Talk from magazine publisher Dale Dougherty on how we are all makers. It will make you feel good about your tinkering habit 🙂
