As a means to developing a meditation practice I have found it’s helpful to have intervals. There are many meditation timers which you can use that have interval reminders (every 3 minutes chime), which are great. More importantly I have found growing your practice length by using the timer is a great way to develop the duration. Beginners would start with 3 minutes and when that feels mastered, move onto 6, etc. Using this approach getting to a clear and mindful 30 minute sitting is much more easily achievable.

What I’m reading/watching/hearing: I’m excited to see that the New York Times has a new video feature every Sunday night (Hulu & Fx). The quality of journalism which the Times produces is unparalleled and deserving of as many outlets and forms of media as possible. The Times Weekly
