Musing from the owner of Grow and Make: Will Johnston
Recently a physical therapist told me that ‘sitting is the new smoking’. Meaning that it’s an unhealthy habit we all need to do a lot less of. I try and spend more and more time standing, as it seems to give relief and stability to my lower back. After spending hours of sitting, my spine feels compressed. A standing desk really helps and also taking walks is a great way to keep my back feeling good, as well as a way to spend time reflecting and thinking.
