The 248 watt solar kit is an excellent supplemental power or emergency power backup starter system. The amorphous silicon solar photovoltaic module is a non-glass flexible laminate,with a 20 year warranty. The kit also includes a MMPT charge controller to optimize your battery charge, charge controller ambient temperature sensor, combiner box, two 15A circuit breakers, two 10 ft. PV cables and two system grounding lugs. The kit is virtually maintenance free and designed to give you decades of uninterrupted power.

In keeping with Grow and Make's mission to be environment friendly, we do not include batteries with this kit. Grow and Make recommends buying deep-cycle batteries locally, to save on shipping costs for both you and us.

Solar (deep-cycle) batteries can be purchased by the leading manufacturer's distribution centers at less cost for you the customer. Please visit SunExtender or DEKA. For this kit at least two 70 Amp hour batteries are the recommended minimum. Deep cycle batteries may also be purchased at Sears and other retailers.
