The PowerCost Monitor consists of two pieces. One piece is a sensor unit you attach to the outside electric meter. The sensor unit transmits radio signals to the receiving unit, a small digital display unit that may be placed anywhere inside your home. The display unit shows you how much money you are spending on electricity from moment to moment and how much you have spent cumulatively from the time the device was reset.

You program the display unit with your electricity rate structure directly from your utility bill. From that point on you can view your electricity consumption in kilowatt hours or in dollars and cents with the press of a button.
